Instructors at Extra Innings

Extra Innings offers individualized, year round professional baseball and softball instruction. Our staff uses a uniform step-by-step teaching system to encourage positive progress with all our students.

The Extra Innings staff features former and current professional players, college all-stars, and area college and high school coaches.

Doug Kemp

Doug is one of the Owners and General Managers of the training facility. He has managed and instructed many baseball teams throughout the years. He is professionally certified as a baseball hitting and fielding instructor.

 

Dave LaPointe

Dave is one of the Owners and General Managers of the training facility. A high school standout, he was drafted by the LA Dodgers as a pitcher in the 21st round. He has coached and instructed numerous little league AAU teams throughout the past decade.  

 

Len Solesky

The San Francisco Giants drafted Len as a pitcher in the 12th round of the Major League Draft. He has been a pitching instructor for various teams and programs such as the Ellington American Legion team, Connecticut Baseball Academy, Team Connecticut Select, and Central Conn. State University. Has also professionally scouted for the Houston Astros, Tampa Bay Devil Rays, LA Dodgers, and the Atlanta Braves.

Matt Kruger - Extra Innings Instructor.

Matt Played his college baseball at Western New England College in Springfield, MA, where he was a catcher. In High School at North Kingstown High School in North Kingstown, Rhode Island he was an All-Division player his Junior and Senior year. Matt is available for Hitting, Catching, and Fielding lessons at Extra Innings Auburn.. He is also the Operations Manager of the facility.

 

Brian Sackinsky - Extra Innings Instructor

Brian Played his college baseball at Stanford University, where he compiled a 19-4 career record and pitched in the 1990 College World Series, during that World Series he posted a 2-0 record.. He was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in the second round in the 1992 amateur draft and made his major league debut on April 20, 1996. He went 4 innings in relief and gave up one run while striking out Juan Gonzalez and Mickey Tettleton. Brian is available for pitching lessons at Extra Innings Auburn.

 
 

Jen Neslusan - Extra Innings Softball Instructor

Jenn played her college softball at Fitchburg St. College in Fitchburg, MA. Where over her 3 years as a starting pitcher she had a 1.71 ERA, and helped pitch Fitchburg State to the Division III NCAA Tournament her freshman year. In 2004 she was named Fitchburg State Female Athlete of the year. She attended Douglas High School where she helped lead them to the 2002 State Championship, and was a Dual Valley All-Star all 4 years. Jenn is avliable for pitching and hitting lessons at Extra Innings Auburn.

 

Kari Gardner - Extra Innings Softball Instructor

Kari Gardner played softball for Keene State College, in Keene, NH, where most of her time was spent playing right field. During her seasons at KSC, the team made the post season all four years with two trips to the Div. III NCAA tournament. Kari was named to the NCAA All-tournament team both those years, in 2005 and 2007. At Grafton High School, Kari was the starting pitcher for the varsity team. Kari is available for pitching, hitting/slapping and fielding lessons..
